People's Tech Alliance is a North Carolina nonprofit corporation organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, building the knowledge, skills, and advocacy power communities need to thrive in an AI-shaped world.
The Problem Is Real. So Is the Opportunity.
Artificial intelligence and emerging technology are not neutral forces. They reflect the priorities of the people who build them, and for too long, those people have not reflected the full diversity of our communities.
Algorithms make decisions about who gets a loan, who gets a job interview, who gets flagged by law enforcement, and who gets access to healthcare. Communities that have faced historical exclusion are often the most affected by these systems, and the least represented in shaping them.
People's Tech Alliance was founded to close that gap.
We are a North Carolina nonprofit corporation dedicated to empowering historically excluded communities through education, advocacy, and action at the intersection of artificial intelligence and technology. We believe that equitable participation in the digital age is not a privilege, it is a right.

Governance
Accountable to Our Community
People's Tech Alliance is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, a group of individuals committed to the organization's mission and legally accountable for its integrity. Our Board meets regularly, oversees our finances and programs, and ensures that every decision we make reflects our values.
We are organized as a nonprofit corporation under the laws of the State of North Carolina and operate in compliance with IRS requirements for 501(c)(3) organizations. Our founding documents, including our Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws, are available upon request.
